Artlanza Territory, the biggest sculpture in the world- Félix Yañez house-museum
7 km
Félix Yáñez was the apprentice of the local artisan Fidel Izquierdo and the sculptor Ismael Ortega. At the age of 18, Félix Yañez began to experience and develop his present devotiones: clay, sports and rural life. He has undoubtedly become a master in terracotta sculpture. All his works are available in his house-museum where he has built a little village and an etnographic museum which evokes the life in rural Spain in the early middle XX century. This is a beautiful place to visit with children. You can't miss it.
To build this village he has used old bricks, windows, doors, wood found in building demolition dumps and adobe bricks made by himself. He says it is all part of one unique work of art. It is a huge scene setting.
