SCHOOL VISITS

VISITS ON DEMAND
Clicking here you can download all the information and prices about these visits

Our workshops revolve around bio-construction and clean energies, farm-garden, or traditional and orientation games, among others. Workshops are held in Spanish unless the school requests one or two in English (upon availability).
To book you only have to choose a date and with the data you send us (number of children and their ages and time of the visit, lunch time at the school, if you want a workshop in English and bus service) we will prepare a proposal for the visit, which we will modify according to your preferences.
The visits are oriented to all the cycles of primary and secondary school and take place from April to June. For the other months, please check availability.

There is no point in building a complex of these characteristics if we are not able to make future generations understand the importance of returning to a lifestyle in which natural resources are used to their fullest and pollution from emissions and waste is reduced to a minimum. Our objective is that they understand that without renouncing the basic comforts that our society has created for us, it is possible to have a lifestyle based on responsible consumption and that they know what they are and how to take advantage of the multiple resources that nature offers us, as it has been done and in many cases continues to be done in rural areas.
The line of work that we have set out aims to instil in our visitors (both children and adults, although it is designed for the youngest) basic notions about the following aspects:

1/ Bioclimatic architecture and healthy materials to be used
2/ Operation of renewable energies: Geothermal energy.
3/ Advantages of "green roofs".
4/ Identification of plant species.
5/ Care of small farm animals. Associated works. There are 10 breeds of chickens, turkeys and doves.
6/ Cultivation and identification of vegetables. Basic notions of organic farming. Elaboration of compost.
7/ Cultivation of fruit trees. Identification of species and varieties, basic concepts of pruning.
8/ Elaboration of food with vegetables, fruits, berries, etc.
9/ Aromatic, culinary and medicinal plants. Identification and uses.
10/ Gardening. Types of gardens, basic care.
11/ Elaboration of adobes. Construction with them.
12/ Recycling. Awareness of its importance and how to do it.

For each one of these points we have developed educational programs adapted to our facilities and to the aspects that we give more importance. Some of these activities are given by bilingual (English and Spanish) monitors.

In addition to these educational activities, we organize fun orientation games, we make ginkanas based on traditional games (frog, horseshoe, pétanque) and the center has areas for sports games (soccer, ping pong, badminton, volleyball).

Activities we do. Clicking on each workshop you can download the file of each one in PDF.
